An interdisciplinary study — drawing on psychology, communication studies, and peacebuilding — exploring how false narratives take root, spread, and impact societies, with a focus on the MENA region and Tunisia.
The Challenge
NOVACT commissioned a strategic report on the mechanisms of online disinformation and its real-world impact on peace and social stability in the digital age. The creative challenge: translating abstract data flows and algorithmic manipulation into visual form, while staying true to the organization's institutional identity.
The Solution
Cover art: a custom collage illustration offering a visual preview of the distortions explored in the report — bold and symbolic, yet fully aligned with NOVACT's brand.
Illustration system: a cohesive set of internal illustrations (filter bubbles, the spread of fake news, impact on public opinion) bringing rhythm and clarity to dense content.
Multilingual engineering: the layout was adapted into 5 languages (English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Catalan) — managing text length variations and a full right-to-left reversal for Arabic, while keeping the design fully consistent across all versions.
Deliverables
Full layout and cover design, custom illustration system, print-ready files, and an enriched interactive web version.
