APES' visual identity has been redesigned to align its image with its values and mission. The former logo, while warm and dynamic, did not fully convey the association’s commitment to social innovation and the solidarity economy.
The previous logo featured a handwritten typeface and an abstract illustration resembling a monkey. However, it lacked structure and impact, making it difficult to adapt across different media.
The goal was to create a strong and recognizable identity, rooted in APES’ core values. The design approach drew inspiration from the word “apes” to craft a stylized gorilla shape, symbolizing strength, collective intelligence, and cooperation.
The evolution of the design illustrates how the gorilla’s silhouette gradually merged with the letters of “APES,” resulting in a bold and modern logo while maintaining a connection to the initial identity.
The new logo adopts a clean geometric structure and a vibrant yellow hue, symbolizing energy and creativity. It represents both the association’s solidity and its commitment to promoting a sustainable and solidarity-based economy.
Through this redesign, APES now has a cohesive visual identity that is easily recognizable and adaptable across all communication platforms.
