Context:

Since the revolution in 2011, Tunisia has made remarkable progress in democratic transition and in terms of individual freedoms. However, economic development has failed to keep pace. 

Tunisia's current economic model does not make this democratic promise a reality. That's why the

"Transformative Economy" axis aims to initiate a critical debate on dominant economic thinking and its underlying policies in Tunisia. 

The foundation wants to contribute to a better understanding of transformative economic ideas that go beyond state-market dualism and bring the economy and social forces into harmony with the environment.
